The Rotaract Club held a bake sale Wednesday, February 17 and Thursday, February 18 in the Student Union. Susan Helmick, Mandy Raider, and the Candlewyck Inn graciously donated their time and energy baking cookies, cupcakes and other goods.
The club raised $135 for the Nicaraguan Peace Project, a school that helps kids living in impoverished areas in Nicaragua. Hannah Boggs, president of the Rotaract Club, said, “A huge thanks to all those who donated and helped out.”
Rotaract will be selling tickets to win a WVU basketball signed by the players. The drawing will be on April 28 with proceeds going also going to the Nicaraguan Peace Project. Contact Hannah Boggs or Christine Hess for more information.
